Press release: The impacts on civilian areas, and casualties caused by Thailand’s aggression on Cambodia’s sovereign territory from 6:00 pm, 11 December until 7:00 am, 12 December 2025
On 12 December 2025, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) reported on the severe impact of Thailand’s escalating military aggression against Cambodia from 11 to 12 December 2025. The total cumulative casualties since 7 December reached 11 civilians killed and 76 injured. The number of displaced civilians sheltering in centers rose to over 274,403 people. Intensified attacks, including F-16 air strikes, targeted civilian areas up to 90 km inside Cambodia, damaging homes and temples and forcing 909 schools to close. The MoI urged the UN and international community to condemn Thailand’s brutal crimes and demand an immediate cessation of hostilities.
